WHOIS is a query/response protocol which is widely used for querying an official database in order to determine the owner of a domain name, an IP address, or an autonomous system number on the Internet.

- How to get accurate WHOIS results?The only way to get an absolutely accurate domain report is to: Lookup the domain in the shared domain registry first. Then locate which registrar has reserved the name. Visit and query that registrar's database for the correct information.
